Queue retention policy vs. unique (queue item) references

Hi UiPath,

Since the Queue item retention policy documentation is brought to the official channels (Queue item retention policy), it seems a matter of days when the first queue items will be deleted/archived.

When a queue item is deleted/archived, how is the unique reference taken into account from that particular queue item?
Does this mean we lose the unique references protection in the queue for all deleted/archived queue items?
