Please Help - Use Excel File: Error opening workbook. If Excel is installed, run the ‘Repair Tool for Microsoft Office Interop’ from the Tools tab on the Home screen

I appreciate the ui path community, you guys have helped me so much!
Please provide any information regarding this issue, I really havent been able to solve this.
I use 2016 excel version on windows 11 home,
I have tried:
Repairing excel
Reinstalling excel, reinstalling ui path
removing excel plugin and reinstalling

I get this error when I try to run : use excel file process
I also get this image with gibberish when I try to reinsall the excel plug in

You can also use Workbook activity which don’t require Excel installed.

Go to Manage Packages and update UiPath. Excel. Activities Package

Tried it, didnt work!
Not only when I try to run the automation, but also when I try for example to “Indicate in excel”
its the same bug

I understand how frustrating it is to see that “Error opening workbook” message. I had a similar issue not long ago. What worked for me was running the ‘Repair Tool for Microsoft Office Interop’ as suggested. It can fix a lot of these annoying errors. Head over to the Tools tab on the Home screen, which should guide you through the process. Also, I found some great tips in 101 Advanced Excel Formulas & Functions Examples that might help with Excel troubleshooting. Sometimes, it’s just about finding the proper fix.
