Welcome to UiPath community

You can try repairing a corrupted workbook and extract data using the Excel built-in ‘Open and Repair’ feature

Instead of excel based activities we can use WORKBOOK ACTIVITIES as it doesn’t require excel application to be installed

Workbook activities can process any workbook even if the machine is not having excel in it.

To run the ‘Repair Tool for Microsoft Office Interop’ from the Tools tab on the Home screen in UiPath, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open UiPath Studio.

  2. Click on the ‘Tools’ tab on the Home screen.

  3. Click on the ‘Repair Tool for Microsoft Office Interop’ option.

  4. Wait for the tool to open, and then follow the instructions to repair any issues with the Microsoft Office Interop.

  5. Once the repair is complete, restart UiPath Studio and try to open the Excel file again.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you can try the following:

  1. Make sure that the Excel file is not open in any other application or process.

  2. Check that the Excel file is not corrupted. You can try opening it in another computer or device to see if it opens.
