Ochestration vs Unattended Robot licensing

Hello guys !
Might be a rookie question - We want to purchase licensed version of UI Path but I am getting mixed answers.

We want to run only attended robots at this time , so my understanding is we have to pay for UIPath studio and attended Robot licenses .

1 . Do we need to purchase Ochestrator too ???

Our understanding is Ochestrator is needed for unattended robots and when queing with high volume is needed . Am i wrong here ??

  1. Can you assign tasks to an attended robot without ochestrator ? where is this done if we dont have ochestrator ?

Licensing fee on ochestrator is too high and will be a deal breaker !!!

thank you
M

You are right

  1. Can you assign tasks to an attended robot without ochestrator ? where is this done if we dont have ochestrator ?

What kind of task you want to assign ?

all types - as of now its more of excel and data scraping and inserting into SQL server. which will be run by a human .

so they are all attended tasks ; we are not looking into unattended tasks.

thanks
Mary

You should have a talk to sales team here Contact Sales - RPA Business Process Strategy | UiPath

That will open a broader and clear view

Multiple ways

  1. Run the workflow (bot) manually via designer
  2. From the batch file / command line
  3. Windows scheduler (but not recommended )
