No OCR engine in StudioX

Hi there!

There is no OCR engine to use in StudioX. The last talk on this topic is from May 2020 and yet there is no OCR engine in studioX after almost 2 years. OCR is very essential when working with documents, and yet it has not been added. I request the UI path team to work on it or give us an update on the situation.

Hi Shaurya!

You are right, currently Document Understanding is not supported in Studio X - however we’re planning on adding it soon, keep a look out for our next releases! :dancer: :rocket:
Til then, feel free to use Studio instead :slight_smile:

Hi!

A year has passed,
I was wondering if OCR has been implemented in StudioX.
There is a option to “Read PDF With OCR” but there is no OCR Engine to use right now.
Or am I completely wrong and did I miss something?

its May2023 nd still no OCR engine
