No License Found For Test Manager Functional Limitations Apply

When using Test Manager, the following notification banner appears: 'No license found for Test Manager. Functional limitations apply.'

Error Message:


Root Cause:
The user/group accessing the Test Manager is either not having any User license assigned to them or have a license that does not give required access to Manager Test Manager.

Resolution:
Allocate the user/group one of the following license types: "Automation Developer" or "Tester Named User" License.

Allocate Licenses to User:

  1. In Automation Cloud, navigate to Admin > Users and Groups > Users
  2. On the selected user, click Edit license allocation to configure
  3. Select Allocate to User and then select the type of license (e.g. Automation Developer - Named User)
  4. Click Save to allocate the license to the selected user.

Allocate Licenses to User Groups:

  1. In Automation Cloud, navigate to Admin > Users and Groups > Groups.
  2. On your selected group, click Edit license allocation to configure.
  3. Select the type of license (e.g. Automation Developer - Named User).
  4. Click Save to allocate the license to your selected group.

All the users from the selected group will be assigned a license. For example, if selected to a group, all its users will receive Test Manager licenses, if enough are present to allocate to all of them. For instance, if 10 licenses are chosen, the first 10 users who access Test Manager will have a license allocated permanently.
