How to migrate Orchestrator to a new database keeping the database same?

Inorder to move the Orchestrator to a new server machine keeping the database as it is, please follow the below steps:

  • Take back up of everything you have right now like database, Orchestrator folder in Server A.
  • Install Orchestrator as a secondary node on Server B Adding Nodes To Multi Node Orchestrator .
  • Please also copy the packages from Storage folder from Server 1 to Server 2. (If you are using a shared storage, this step may not be necessary). Files are saved in the dedicated folders at the specified location. By default, they are stored at the following path: C:\Program Files (x86)\UiPath\Orchestrator\Storage
  • If the Orchestrator URL is not changing, this step may not be required - Changing The Orchestrator Identity Server URL
  • Once everything is up and running on Server B, decommission the old one on Server A. Decommission usually means uninstall. Stop the UiPath Orchestrator site on IIS on Server A and check if Orchestrator is up and running. If it is running fine as expected, you can uninstall the Orchestrator on Server A.
