From UiPath we were told these licenses can be used to run automations in non-production (without Test Manager), but configuration seems to be the blocker.
Question:
Could someone share:
The correct setup steps in [Orchestrator] and [Robot]Service to enable these licenses.
Any reference guides or best practices for using Unattended Test robots in a non-production environment.
Once you do that, add the machine template to a folder and the robot account to a folder in the same way you do with a normal unattended robot, and then you can start test cases or test set uploaded to that folder.
Indeed you do NOT need Test Manager to consume these licences.
Strange, that would be what I’d expect to see if no licences were available on your tenant.
Do you have any Production accounts at all on your organization?
I can try to experiment on what I see if I only have Test licences added to a tenant, but just want to check first if you are using multiple tenants that could be making things go weird?
Taking a closer look at this, I notice you have got an On Premise install, thats quite likely the issue here. I am afraid I am not an expert on the On prem infrastructure when it comes to testing, there is a message in your screenshot saying a module needs to be installed?
Hi John! yes you’re right! We are on pre. 23.4 (it should be).
and this is the error message: “Using this license requires the testing module of Orchestrator to be installed”, you know what it is?
I dont know for sure how the on premise orchestrator manages this, perhaps you need to install that module but dont need to run test manager, sorry this isnt a strong topic for me.
Do you still have contact with the person from UiPath who said this was fine?
