Interview tips for UiPath RPA developer role

Hi everyone,

I’m appearing for interviews in Canada for RPA role.
I have experience in back in India. But I’ve been seeing huge difference in the interview hiring process.
For example:
In India, most of the questions were on technical.
But in Canada, 90% questions are behavioral, managerial & situational based which I failed to answer.
So I’m looking for such questions so that I can have idea how to answer and perform well in the interview.
Also I couldn’t recall some of the situations how I tackled .

Please help me with this , share documents if any and also give interview tips to crack the interview.

Thank you in advance

Hi @Vaishnav_Tej
I hope you are doing well. In the past, I worked as a recruiter and currently I am a Solution Architect living in Argentina and working for a US based company, so I’ve been on both sides many times.

My best advice is to be yourself, don’t try to fit into a position that maybe it is not be the best for you.

As I am not a native English speaker, the first thing I do to prepare for an interview is to have a conversation with AI around the situation I am facing, so it can help me consider different aspects and also polish my interview vocabulary as best as possible. I use Talkpal (paid subscription, I practice every day, and it gives me reports about my progress), but there are plenty of options.

Consider that recruiters, apart from technical topics, will evaluate skills like:

  • Communication
  • Self-discipline
  • Time management
  • Adaptability
  • Collaboration
  • Problem solving

Try to research as much as possible about the company you are applying to, read its website, LinkedIn profile, latest news releases, and posts.

If your position is associated with a specific industry that you don’t have experience in (for example, banking or healthcare), research as much as possible about it. You can also bring up that topic of conversation with AI.

Best of success!

Additional some notes from my paper notebook

You can find many of these questions if you google for “Soft skills interview questions”

Hope it helps!

@Vaishnav_Tej - Look up the company you are interviewing for on Glassdoor. It has questions that was asked to previous candidates of the company, which you can use to prepare yourself.

Do a general google search on various behavioral questions and prepare answer for them on “STAR” method.

Most common questions include:

  1. Describe a scenario where you took lead to solve a problem
  2. What was the most challenging project you worked on and why did you find it challenging? Follow Up: How did you solve it?
  3. How would you handle a situation where your peer does not accept/understand your solution?

All the best!

Hi Darshan,
Thanks for sharing.
Do you have high level scenario based questions?

@Vaishnav_Tej As of now, I don’t have them. But I’m planning to add them as well.
