How to install redis cluster (more than one node) for Orchestrator installation?

The UIpath article does not show steps on installing a redis in a cluster configuration using a Windows installation. It only shows how to install a redis cluster using linux installation.

The “Regis Installation” above does not answer my question.

Hi @kimdav111
UiPath no longer supports Redis on Windows. UiPath sells UiPath High Availability Add-on which is based on Redis technology for customers that want to have a High Availability setup for Orchestrator. UiPath High Availability Add-on is the supported solution for HA installations of Orchestrator and UiPath HAA can only be installed on Linux.

The hardware requirements and the Linux OS and versions supported by UiPath HAA are documented here: Hardware and Software Requirements

Hi @Matthew_Tan ,

Reading the explanation from UiPath’s Documentation. meaning for HAA cluster minimum need 3 Physical/VMs ?
what’s the difference with multinode installation ? multinode installation required a license HAA add-on ?

thanks

Hi @tommyh

HAA cluster require minimum of 3 servers (physical or virtual) running Linux (see HW/SW requirements). The HAA cluster is required if you want a multinode installation of Orchestrator. When we say multinode Orchestrator this means you have 2 or more servers (physical or virtual) running Orchestrator acting as a single instance. You need a Load Balancer in front of the Orchestrator nodes.

From a licensing perspective, a multinode installation of Orchestrator only requires one Orchestrator license. HAA also requires a separate license called UiPath High Availability Add-on.

Please speak with your Account Exec for more details on licensing and pricing.

hi @Matthew_Tan … , for multi server node installation meaning 2 VM of orchestrator with 1 orchestrator license and 1 HAA add on. and in front of it, it will required NLB to perform the load balancing. cmiiw…

thanks
