How to extend community edition license?

How do I extend the license subscription that only allowed for 1 year as of now? Plus, if I extend it, does it affect the already running processes under previous license?

By default the expiry of any Community edition is of One year
It extends automatically once the expiry date is about to reach, so no worries on that
You can’t have any control on extending that as it is Community version which is a free version

Does it affect any ongoing unattended processes when the license extend?

Due to license extend it won’t effect
But Community version keeps updating without your control, That might effects
Community Version is not intended to any Production deployments
