How to check if Browser window already open using If Condition

Hi,

I noticed several things are missing from the features.

How do you check if the browser window is already open or not using the [If Condition].

  1. If the browser is already open i want to close it.
  2. How can you validate if the browser is already open. We need to pass the Window type variable but i don’t thing in the If Cond Activity this type of Variable is There. Kindly Suggest.

here you use check app state activity for the same

You can try some below points

  1. Try to use element exists activity take into variable which is variable type Boolean and try to use it in if condition
  2. Say for example you don’t want to open multiple windows then you can use use application and browser in this properties you can choose close app make it never and open property make it as never here it won’t open new window
  3. Use attach browser if you are using classic activities you may use try catch in between for handling expections

Hi, Yes I am expert in AA,

But if i compare both UiPath & AA. I found AA is far better than UiPath in all the aspect.

I see most of the things are missing.

You mean to say if the browser is running or not right ?

you might feel so as how each activity is and used is differnt and named differently..but thats a different topic all together

yes you need to use check app state to check if a specific page si opened or any element is present or any page transitions etc…

also use app/browser activity has an inbuilt properly open, which you can set to if not open so that if window is present it attaches else it opens a new window

Hi , Thanks for the reply.

How can you use open new window. Let’s say first you need to open google.com , then you need to open yahoo.com.

I don’t see open new window action here if widow is already open.

use app/browser is what you need to use for the same

try doing a basic trainign on UiPath academy so that you get familar with things

@balkishan,

I would suggest to follow the documentation.

Also complete some basic trainings event tough you had worked on UiPath in the past. Lots of things are revamped.
