How to avoid Studio Auto-Update? - UiPath Studio v.2021.10.5 used in UiPath Academy - automatic update to version 2023.xx

If this update can’t be turned off, then why aren’t training plans updated to the current version UiPath Studio? For example, the training for UiPath Certified RPA Associate (UiRPA) is conducted for version 2021.04, and the current version 2023 is significantly different for some actions.

Hi Marcin,

the auto-update feature can be removed if you have an enterprise license.
The community version will update automatically.
You can still view the older activities just by using classic activities, or by installing the package version of the activity you want from “Manage Packages”.

That’s too general answer and I think you understood me.

In that case, can you tell me what Activities I should downloade to be compatibile with the training I’m doing.?

Before each training, I find this note:
Note: This course was created using UiPath Studio 2021.10. Some elements may be different in other Enterprise or Community versions.

btw. I found:

  • Foundation training for v 2019
  • Foundation training for v 2020
  • my Associate Certification path use v.2021
  • and the Community edition that I can download at the start of the training is v.2023

believe me, for beginners, it is not easy to understand the number of versions and updates, and training, and this forum does not help.

I understand it can be difficult at start to follow the courses if you don’t find the same things you have in your Studio version.
For the Activities, you can starting by selecting the Classic Experience, by going into Project Settings

and set Modern Design Experience to No

After restarting the Studio you should find all the activities related to the course.

If there are still some activities missing/different, you can go on Manage Packages and install for every package the version related to the course (or the one closest to the release date)

Thank you for your help,
I appreciate your effort.
However, the training recommends using Modern Folder.
I don’t think we’re going to solve it that easily, let this post stay and serve as my feedback on the training - a little mess.
