How Data retention works on Insights instances hosted on Automation Cloud platform?
- All Cloud users are given a two-year data retention by default for all Insights data (Jobs, Queues, Robot Logs). Integration data (DU, AH) stored in Insights DB is also applicable, but is currently a work in progress.
- With the option to upgrade to the Advanced platform tier (more information https://licensing.uipath.com/) to extend to 5 years. The user needs to be migrated to UiPath - Flex - Platform - Advanced plan in order to have the data retention period as 5 years. - All users who currently have Insights data older than two years will be given a 3 month grace period before first soft deletion (deleted but recoverable) and another 3 months before hard deletion (deleted and un-recoverable). If applicable, users will receive their first notification on either the Thursday (NA/LATAM) or Friday (EMEA) of this week to notify them of the upcoming soft-deletion date. There will be multiple notifications as the soft/hard deletion dates approach
- Users can see their data retention time and upcoming deletion date in the Manage Access page, org admins only.
- Users can also disable data retention notifications in the notification portal, org admins only. More information in the Insights Release Notes - June 2023 .
