Help Needed: "Cannot authenticate, not connected to Orchestrator" Error in Document Understanding

I am currently working on a project involving the Document Understanding capabilities of UiPath, and I’m encountering a persistent issue. I hope someone here can provide guidance or a solution.

Issue:

Every time I use the “Classify Document” activity, I get the following error:
“Cannot authenticate, not connected to Orchestrator. Exception details: The document understanding service url was not provided.”

Steps I’ve Taken:

  1. Configured Modern Folders:
  • I have set up Modern Folders in UiPath Orchestrator.
  • I added my machine and user to the Modern Folder with appropriate roles.
  1. Connected UiPath Assistant:
  • I have connected UiPath Assistant to Orchestrator using the correct Machine Key and Orchestrator URL.
  • The connection status shows as “Connected”.
**Installed Document Understanding Activities package version 2.10.0-preview.
Despite these steps, the error persists, indicating that the document understanding service URL is not provided and that authentication is failing.

Questions:

  1. What could be causing the “Cannot authenticate, not connected to Orchestrator” error even though my UiPath Assistant shows as connected?
  2. Is there a specific configuration or step that I might be missing when setting up Document Understanding in a Modern Folder?
  3. Any additional troubleshooting steps or recommendations?

Hi @ZARA_Clark_Vincent_M ,

Do you have enterprise license for Document Understanding? If not, you will receive this error.

Please mark it as solution if this is the issue.

Actually what u have to do is. Need to go to default tenant in cloud.uipath.com and add service (document understanding)

I have given the attachment image for reference.

Even i though like that. It might work with enterprises edition but No it worked in community edition too. Given the reference in the previous reply. Only thing u have to do is go to default tenant in cloud.uipath.com and add service (document understanding) - it works. Problem solved guys. Happy automation
