Having attended license but process is running in locked screen, how this can be possible?

Hello everyone!
I asked this question many times but experts are ignoring my post.

My client has attended license and I have developed process for them, As per policy, Attended bot cannot run in locked screen.
But my process is running in locked screen, How can this be possible ?

Anyone here who can answer this question. ?
Any super experts here ?

Hi @prabin_chand1

If your client is using a remote desktop or virtual machine environment, it’s possible that the process is running on the remote machine while the user’s local machine is locked. In this case, the process is technically running on the remote machine and not affected by the local screen lock.

Hope this helps,
Best Regards.

not its not in virtual machine, it is a physical desktop

@prabin_chand1

Can you please tell what is the version and what kind of activities are being performed…

Cheers

Latest version of UiPath.
UI actions are performed but i am so curious how it is running in locked screen

@prabin_chand1

Is the license given only for attended automation

Cheers

@prabin_chand1 Please check the licesnse type.
One can only run this kind of automation if at all the license is unattended.

You can check this post, it gives you the answer :slight_smile:
Attended bot able to run behind locked screen? - Help - UiPath Community Forum

Attended license will still allow you to run the robot behind the locked screen, but interactions with UI elements or simulation of user events (keystrokes, clicks, etc…) might fail (this I could experience it myself several times).

Did you actually set the Automation as being attended in Studio?

yes, license if only for attended
