Use Case Description

A Legal entity is an organization that creates special cases out of each Legal Transactions to meet the legal obligations as set by local, state, and federal laws. A transaction is an event associated with business dealings conducted between two or more parties that involve the formation and performance of an obligation or contract.

The use case involves a group email box receiving emails from Stakeholders with filled Legal Forms attached. Communication Mining is used to classify the message and label it as one of the 6 Legal Transactions.

Various details are extracted from the attachment using Document Understanding and filled into an Appian Workflow for Lega Case creation and assigned to respective Business User for handling the case as per the transaction. A Multipage Contract PDF is generated at end of the flow and saved into Files Service.

The case can be amended many number of times and each time a new version of Contract PDF is created. Legal Team many a times need to compare any 2 versions of PDF and analyze the changes in contracts during the life time of the case. Compared to the time consuming manual comparison, Generative AI is used compare and find out the changes that have been made across a different span of life time in the case.
