Find Text: Terminal error: InvalidCoordinates

Hello,

I’m using the Find Text activity in a UiPath Terminal session (AS/400).

  • When the text exists on the screen → the activity works fine.
  • When the text does not exist → it throws the following error: Find Text: Terminal error: InvalidCoordinates

I tried surrounding the activity with a Try Catch and catching System.Exception, but the error still stops the execution and is not handled.

Has anyone faced this?
Which exception type should I catch for InvalidCoordinates?

Can you should the full error trace which you are getting without catching the exception?
At the beginning of the error, you will usually see the exception name.

in the doc they stated that when the text is not found the exception is raised :

the InvalidCoordinates Exception does not exist in the catch block.

I think what you described will only work if the Try Catch actually intercepts the exception.
in my case the Exception is not catched using System.Exception and it stops the workflow

I need to see if you provided the full error or not.

thank you i found the solution i was using other activities in the try clause besides the Find Text activity, i isolated the Find text alone while using System Exception and it worked after that.
