Extract table data, target application not identified

Hi,

I have a very simple sequence with a single argument: in_moduleListUrl. I want to open the URL and extract data from a table.

  • I use ‘Use application/browser’ and point it at Chrome. It requires a URL so I give it in_modulesListUrl.
  • I then use ‘Go To URL’ to navigate to in_modulesListUrl.
  • I then add ‘Extract Table Data’.

But when I click ‘Indicate on screen’ for ‘Extract Table Data’ I get the error ‘Target Application could not be identified’. I have Chrome open with an example of the page I want to extract data from.

What do I do now?

The designer must first identify a real browser page. Open Chrome on the target table, indicate that page in Use Application/Browser, and keep Go To URL and Extract Table Data inside the same scope. Use a sample URL while indicating the table, then replace it with in_moduleListUrl for runtime and add a wait for the table to load. Also ensure the UiPath Chrome extension is enabled.

That feels very backwards to me, but it works!
