If you’re trying to start the robot with an RDP logon type (check UiPath.Settings in %programdata%\UiPath for LoginToConsole = False), the user eneds to be added to Remote Desktop Users group.

I have attached the screenshot of App.settings. Please find and let me know what is the wrong.

Note: 1) I tried it by keep true as well.
2) I am trying to run the BOT on my laptop from where Iam accessing the orchestrator url. In words the machine is already opened.

UiPath.Settings are correct.

I’m not sure if this will work for a laptop though, as without tinkering most non-server Windows versions do not support multisession. It could also be that your machine settings (or group policy) disallows remote logging.

You could try scheduling the robot for Now +2 minutes, log out and wait if it even fires (since noone is logged). Still, running robots from Orchestrator is best used with servers, not workstations.

Maybe someone else can help, to be honest I haven’t used Orchestrator + laptop aside of running from Studio (testing assets, queues etc.).

did you restart robot service after changing “login to console:true” ?

Yeah, I have restarted services and tried with true and false as well.

Now, my question from starting in fact “does that access need to be in admin group”?

If you are using console true, that user is not mandatory to be part of the rdp users group

first of all i need more information:

what OS are you using and exactly what Robot&Orchestrator versions
what user are you using for the robot (administrator, simple user etc)
can you do a rdp on that machine using the same user as the robot is provisioned with on Orchestrator?

what OS are you using and exactly what Robot&Orchestrator versions - Microsoft Windows 7 Enterprise
6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601 & Uipath Orchestratrator -2016.2.6274 & Uipath studio-
2016.2.6379 (Trail version)
can you do a rdp on that machine using the same user as the robot is provisioned with on Orchestrator - I have done it already.

Note: Orchestrator is deployed on different network that AHP (Alternate hosting provider)
