Excel automation - how to distinguish weekends

Hello. Is there a way to distinguish weekends in Excel?
I have Excel file with more than 70 thousands rows and should find way to separate working days from weekends inside date column.
Is it possible?

Weekday function that returns a value between 1 and 7 corresponding to the value of the day of the week .

Should be pretty easy. How is your column formatted? MM/dd/yyyy? Mon,Wed,Thurs, Sat?
