Receiving the following error from the SAP Logon activity: SAP Logon: Internal SAP error occured: HRESULT: 0x800405E8 Message: IDispatch error #1000 Description: SAP Logon connection entry not found

Issue Description

This error is generated from the SAP Logon activity:

SAP Logon: Internal SAP error occured:
HRESULT: 0x800405E8
Message: IDispatch error #1000
Description: SAP Logon connection entry not found

Root Cause

The SAP error code 0x800405E8 typically indicates an issue with the SAP Logon connection. This error can occur due to several reasons, such as incorrect environment names.

Resolution

For the Connection Name, the Name under the Name field in the SAP Logon screen is what should be used in the SAP Logon Activity Connection Name.

The specific SAP connection name displayed in the SAP Logon or SAP Logon Pad window that you use to access your SAP system must be exactly what is used in the Connection Name of the SAP Logon activity.

Troubleshooting

Does the SAP Logon screen look similar to the example below? If so, use the Name under the Name column for the Connection Name. If not, contact an SAP admin and request the Connection Name.
