Hi,
I’m getting the error "“Error opening workbook. If Excel is installed, run the ‘Repair Tool for Microsoft Office Interop’” while writing the datatable into the Excel. I have used both Excel Application Scope and workbook activity however the issue is still persisting.

Activity Name: Excel Application Scope/ Excel Workbook
Excel Package Version within UiPath: 2.20.1
Excel Version: 2402 (Build 17328.20282 Click-to-Run)

This error occurs when UiPath unable to connect with Excel. There could be multiple possible reasons for the error.

  1. Excel setup installed is corrupted
  2. Excel Add On is not installed correctly.

Solution:

As this is more frequent issue faced by many users, UiPath provided easily solution to fix it.

Follow this user guide and you should be able to resolve this error.

Workbook activities has nothign to do with excel being installed…can you tell the error what you are getting when using workbook activities

also try to reinstall excel if the issue persists

Also there are few common issues and the corresponding resolutions
