ELK cluster requirements in High Availability-High Performance infrastructure

I want to set up UiPath High Availability-High performance infrastructure using ELK Clusters. Please help me on below questions:

ELK Cluster:

  1. Which OS (Windows or Linux) is preferable to host 1 ELK Master and 2 ELK master+data ?
  2. Is it advisable to use load balancer to access ELK cluster? If yes, can we use single load balancer in High Availability-High Performance infrastructure?
  3. Are all elements (ElasticSearch, Logstash and Kibana) required in ELK cluster?
