Our solution, EduAgentX, reimagines education workflows with UiPath automation by seamlessly integrating APIs, handling repetitive processes, and improving efficiency for students and institutions. Built during AgentHack 2025, it combines innovation, scalability, and real-world impact — turning an idea into an award-winning automation solution.

Detailed problem statement

Providing personalized and timely feedback to every student is a major challenge in education. Faculty members spend excessive time on repetitive tasks such as grading, compiling results, writing detailed feedback, tracking attendance, and handling routine student queries. This makes it difficult to deliver improvement-oriented feedback at scale, leaving students without clear guidance and institutions struggling to maintain efficiency.

Detailed solution

Our project automates multiple administrative processes in schools and colleges using UiPath RPA + AI Agents, ensuring efficiency, fairness, and timely communication.


1. Marksheet Automation

  • Upload & Storage:
    Teachers upload an Excel file (with marks, student details, and logo) through a dashboard. The file and marksheets are stored in an S3 bucket. An API trigger then initiates an RPA job.

  • Workflow 1 – Data Extraction:

    • The RPA workflow downloads all marksheets listed in the Excel.
    • Each marksheet undergoes OCR processing (UiPath Document Understanding + Google Cloud Vision).
    • The extracted text is stored as an array of strings.
  • Agent Analysis:
    The extracted text is passed to an AI Agent, which generates insights for each student, including:

    1. Subject-wise Performance
    2. Performance Deep Dive (writing style, strengths, weaknesses)
    3. Personalized Improvement Plan
    4. Competitive Analysis (peer comparison)
    5. Overall Report Summary
  • Workflow 2 – Report Generation:

    • Using UiPath Excel activities, data for each student is combined with AI insights.
    • A predefined Word template is filled with marks, grades, averages, and AI feedback.
    • The document is converted into a PDF report.
    • Each report is automatically emailed to the respective student.

2. Fee Extension Automation

  • Students request fee extensions via email.

  • An email trigger passes the message to an AI Agent.

  • The agent analyzes content, tone, and genuineness.

  • If valid, it is escalated to an admin for human approval.

  • Upon approval/rejection:

    • The decision is updated in UiPath DataFabric.
    • The student receives an automated response email.

3. Leave Request Automation

  • Works similarly to Fee Extension.
  • Leave requests via email are analyzed by the agent.
  • Decisions (approve/reject) are logged in DataFabric.
  • Students are notified via email.

4. Attendance & Absent Mail Automation

  • Teachers mark attendance via the web application.

  • The data is stored in DataFabric.

  • An RPA workflow checks if absent students had pre-approved leave:

    • If Leave Approved → No action.
    • If Not Approved → An automated absent mail is sent to the parent.

5. Dashboard

  • A centralized dashboard shows all activities in real-time:

    • Number of received emails.
    • Categorization: Fee requests, Leave requests, Queries.
    • Approved vs. Rejected counts.
    • Dynamic graphs for better insights.
