Drop down disapears before I can use the "click" activity

Having an issue with trying to select a UI element in a drop down. I hover over an element and it brings up a list of items to select. When I move my mouse away from the selection it disappears before I can click on the “Indicate target on screen” for the click activity. Is there a hotkey combination for this activity or a way to get around this issue?

Try pressing F2, which puts a timer of like 5secs to give you time to hover over the element
