It would be very helpful if there were a column in the Jobs list in Orchestrator that we could set the value of while the Job is running, as well as at the end of the Job. This would give critical information to our production monitoring team. For example, we have steps built into our processes that check a spreadsheet for whether the relevant apps are in a downtime period. If one of the apps the process uses is in a downtime period, the Job stops without processing anything. Being able to show this result in the Jobs list would be very useful to production monitoring and reporting so we could see why the Job didn’t process any items despite there being items in the queue.
I like this idea. It beats continiously checking and refresing logs for individual jobs.
This would enable a solid realtime overview, allowing more insight and operational control.
