How to resolve this error - "Could not start executor. The referenced account is currently locked out and may not be logged on to. (0x80070775)" while executing a process?

Issue Description

Sometimes the following error may be encountered when attempting to execute an automation process.

Root Cause

The possible cause of the issue is that the user account used or configured in the Robot settings is being locked. The machine cannot be accessed while using the same account.
  • This may happen due to password change and continuous retry for the wrong password.
  • To confirm this, log in to the Robot machine using the same account credentials manually and validate if the account is locked.

Resolution

  • In case the account is locked on the machine, It is recommended to reach the local IT help desk.
  • Once the user account is activated again, re-configure the password in the Robot settings Orchestrator and check the behavior.
