Connection to office 365 and share point error

Good day ,

I am new to UI path and I have an office 365 paid personal account. I am trying to complete a project using Excel application process scope.

However, when I try to use the read range

workbook activity, I see a connect to one drive and share point button. When I use this I am asked to sign into my office 365 account, following which I get an error :

Details: Provider Endpoint: GET /me Provider Status Code: 403 (Forbidden) Provider Error Message: error - {code=UnknownError, message=, innerError={date=2025-04-19T11:01:15, request-id=6715b2db-9f51-41bc-a14b-9b2215f53fa4, client-request-id=6715b2db-9f51-41bc-a14b-9b2215f53fa4}} UiPath Request ID: 959902930753507039

I have searched the forum for similar problems but every solution I see is for company accounts. Is there any way to solve this ?

Hi @Tobi_Anthony

You see that gear/settings icon on your screenshot. Please click that and choose different Auth type to connect.
I don’t exactly recall the name of it right now, but there is an option to connect via username password like in your case.

It should work.

This is what I see , before I prompted to enter my password which is stored to my browser .
Thereafter I get the error.

Furthermore , I can see from my office 365 account that the permissions are enabled for UI path. However I should be prompted to enable these permissions from a window when I enter my password.

Yes the first option. @Tobi_Anthony

You are getting this error via first option?

Please check below link, you need to ensure you have defined mentioned access enabled for your account in order to be able to connect via connector.

Additionally, refer below video, should help you:

Thank you , I was actually watching a video from him , where he seamlessly connected his account to ui path. I will watch this one again , perhaps , I missed something.

It appears it is the same video I saw a while ago today. I wonder what the problem could be ?

Well, forbidden error means you don’t have required permissions enabled.

The option you are using to connect requires below permissions enabled, can you check if you have those set?

I am guessing because the connection failed , I could not grant permissions to for all of this . From my office 365 account UI path only has permission to read my profile.

Then that’s the issue, documentation states this auth type needs to have those permissions enabled.

I still get the error , hmmmm

Can you share screenshot of the permissions you have enabled currently?

@Tobi_Anthony

I still see SharePoint site’s permission and few other permissions missing

Its there , sorry I did not scroll below in the previous screen shot

@Tobi_Anthony

Are you able to see site’s permission?

I am not able to find it, can only see for fikea, group and profile and email

not sure if this helps

I posted this issue last month on this forum. Unfortunately, there is no solution.
I am sure this problem occured from the begining of March. Before that time it worked well.
Now, I use Microsoft365.Activity instead. Of course with business version, Personal version not working.

@donfeng91 Thank you for sharing!

@Tobi_Anthony can you use O365 package and see if you are able to connect?
