What is the difference between UiPath - Citizen Developer - Named User and UiPath - Cloud Orchestrated Citizen Developer - Named User licenses?

Hi

So this the basic difference between them

  1. Citizen Developer Named User License: This license allows an individual user to develop and execute UiPath automation workflows using their own desktop or laptop. The license is designed for non-IT employees or business users who do not require access to UiPath’s cloud-based infrastructure.
  2. Cloud Orchestrated Citizen Developer Named User License: This license provides the same capabilities as the Citizen Developer Named User license but also includes access to UiPath’s cloud-based infrastructure for deployment, monitoring, and management of automation workflows. This license is ideal for organizations with a distributed workforce or for those who require access to UiPath’s cloud-based services.

In short, the primary difference between these two licenses is that the Cloud Orchestrated Citizen Developer Named User License includes cloud-based infrastructure for automation workflows, while the Citizen Developer Named User License does not.

Hi @Chaitra_G ,

UiPath offers different licensing options for its software platform, including the UiPath - Citizen Developer - Named User and UiPath - Cloud Orchestrated Citizen Developer - Named User licenses.

The UiPath - Citizen Developer - Named User license is designed for users who want to develop and deploy automation workflows using the UiPath platform on their own infrastructure. This license allows a single user to use the UiPath Studio development environment and UiPath Orchestrator to manage and deploy their automation workflows.

On the other hand, the UiPath - Cloud Orchestrated Citizen Developer - Named User license is designed for users who want to develop and deploy automation workflows using the UiPath platform on UiPath’s cloud infrastructure. This license also allows a single user to use the UiPath Studio development environment, but instead of deploying to their own infrastructure, they can deploy their automation workflows to UiPath’s cloud-based Orchestrator.

In summary, the key difference between these two licenses is the infrastructure on which the automation workflows are deployed - the Citizen Developer license is for deployment on the user’s own infrastructure, while the Cloud Orchestrated Citizen Developer license is for deployment on UiPath’s cloud infrastructure.
