Change profile from StudioX to Studio

Hi,

I installed UiPath studio in one of our business user’s system and after 2 months user started getting below message.

The project could not be opened: Project is incompatible with StudioX profile. You can open it in studio and fix the errors.

However I can’t see the option to change the profile from StudioX to Studio. Kindly advise how can I get the profile changed. I believe it has something to do with licensing.

Hi @Kapil ,

If you are unable to change the profile from StudioX to Studio, it is likely due to the licensing of the UiPath Studio software. If the user has a StudioX license, it will not allow them to open the projects in Studio. You will need to upgrade the license from StudioX to Studio in order to be able to open the projects in Studio.

Hi @ppr ,

As per your linked post, I changed the profile to Automation Developer, however still can’t see the option to change profile from StudioX to Studio.

Also in business user’s license, I can only see ‘Automation Express’ which seemingly has only StudioX license.

Is it that currently business user’s account has no available Studio license? If yes, it is possible to add studio license to it?

Hi,

Yes. There is no AutomationDeveloper license under Free plan. Please see the following in details.

It might be necessary to re-create the organization as Community plan etc.
