Is there a way, / could there be a way, of refusing the submission if a determined set of documents are not supplied?

For instance, I don’t want the idea submitted without having at least the first three ticked.

The use case you presented will be possible to achieve after we launch one of our newest features called Idea Flow Customization. With it, you will be able to customize the idea flow and change the various phases and statuses, as well as add extra layers. For your specific use case, we have in plan a an addition the feature that will be called Conditional Logic. This one enables you to actually achieve your use case fully as you can add a condition that will not allow the user to go forward unless they fill in the documentation question/attach a file.

The features mentioned above will be available in the second part of 2023. Keep an eye on our release notes for updates.
