Auto-update is on even though I have Enterprise license

I have Studio 2021.10.9 Enterprise Licence installed on my machine. But after some Windows updates UiPath Update Required pop-up keeps coming and it says it will automatically update Studio after some point and I couldn’t find any way to stop this. I know that enterprise editions comes with non auto update from the box, but my version doesnt I guess. Can you help me stop updating?

In UiPath Studio, you can control automatic updates and prevent them from happening by disabling the auto-update feature. To do this, follow these steps:

Follow this steps

  1. Launch UiPath Studio.
  2. Click on the “Settings” icon in the top right corner of the Studio window. It looks like a gear or cogwheel.
  3. In the “Settings” menu, go to the “License and Profile” section.
  4. Under “License and Profile,” you should see the option for “Update Channel.” Change the update channel to "Stable."If you’re using an Enterprise version, it’s likely that you’re already on the “Stable” channel, but double-check to make sure.
  5. Once you’ve set the update channel to “Stable,” this should prevent automatic updates. You can also choose to be on a specific version if you prefer not to receive updates automatically.
  6. Close and restart UiPath Studio to ensure the changes take effect.’

Hi! Thanks for the quick answer but there is no “Update Channel” option under my “License and Profile” setting.

Hello @Kartheek_Battu , thank you for your quick answer but I cant see any “Automation Hub” option in my assistant, I couldn’t find it anywhere

@hakankadakal98

  1. Open UiPath Studio.
  2. Click on “Help” in the top menu.
  3. Select “Manage License” from the dropdown menu.
  4. In the License Activation window, you’ll find an “Update Channel” dropdown. Change this to “None.”
  5. Click the “Activate” button to save your changes.

Hi,

This may not be clean way, but how about the following?

  1. Open Task Scheduler of OS
  2. Double click “UiPath Update Service Agent” in active task.
  3. Disable this schedule (UiPath Update Service Agent)
  4. Reboot

If it doesn’t work, also disable UiPath.Update Service in Service of OS.

If you want to use update service, please enable this schedule and service.

Regards

Hi @hakankadakal98,

When you go to the help screen within the studio, can you see the ‘Stable’ radio button?

MY

No I can’t see that button

Unfortunately no practical method helped me solve this. Even I disabled the “UiPath Update Service Agent” form task scheduler. But I stopped the UiPath Upgrade Service from the Services of OS then I got no pop-ups saying you must update UiPath. So that solved my problem. Thanks for the help though!
