Hello UiPath Team,
I would like to suggest an enhancement for the UiPath Action Center. Currently, action tasks can only be assigned to individual users. However, it would be incredibly beneficial to have the ability to assign these tasks to a business group or distribution list (DL) as well.
Use Case:
In many enterprise environments, decisions and actions are often managed by a team rather than an individual. By allowing tasks to be assigned to a DL, we can ensure that anyone in the group can take ownership of the task, thereby improving the efficiency and responsiveness of the workflow. This would also reduce bottlenecks when an individual user is unavailable.
Proposed Solution:
- Add a feature: Allow assignment of action tasks to a business group or DL in addition to individual users.
- Configuration Options: Enable administrators to configure DLs within the Action Center settings or through Orchestrator.
- Task Visibility: Ensure that all members of the assigned DL can view and claim the task.
- Notification: Send notifications to all members of the DL when a task is assigned to the group.
- Task Ownership: Once a task is claimed by an individual within the DL, other members should be notified to avoid duplicate efforts.
