Anchor base access

Description

Hello, I have this version of UiPath Studio with this license type.

“Studio 2025.0.172-cloud.20747 - 7/23/2025
Enterprise License
Pro
User-mode Installation
License Provider: Orchestrator
Activation ID:
Microsoft Windows 11 Pro 64-bit
8.0.15”

Can I use the “Anchor base” activity (Activities - Anchor Base)?
If so, why don’t I find it when I type “anchor” in the activity search filter? Maybe I need to install a plugin?
If not, what are the differences, in terms of functionality, between this free version and the paid one? Thanks.

Marco

This activity is part of the package UiPath.UIAutomation.Activities

Install this package in your project and you should find the activity in the activities panel.

Edit 1
Also make sure you enable classic fuler in activities panel.

Install the package UiPath.UiAutomation.Activities and search for Anchor if you found excel activities at top then downgrade the UiPath.Excel.Activities then try again.

Now in the latest version anchor base is directly combined into the selector itself you can directlt indicate in a normal activity along with the anchor

Hi @m.malziotti

You don’t need to use separate activity to specifying the anchor element.

For any of the modern activities for click, type, get text etc, when you identify an element, it asks you to indicate the anchor there itself.

If you are using classic activities, either you can consider replacing those with their modern version or you can get the classic activity enabled from activities panel for explicit use.

Hope this helps.

Try installing the UiPath.UIAutomation.Activities package. Once installed, you can find the activity in the Activities panel. If the package is already installed, ensure that Classic Activities are enabled so the activities appear in the panel.
