Problem Statement:

A Bill of Lading is a crucial document for stakeholders in logistics and transportation business. This is a must-have, legally binding document that carrier and driver should possess to move a freight shipment.

Crucial metadata related to delivering goods - including the shipper, ship date, quantity to consignee, due date, and destination - are listed on the Bill of Lading. With all these vital information, the document cannot bear any mistakes.

Any misleading information could cause a loss of time, money and brand image due to customer experience.

• UiPath Robot downloads the Bill of Lading document from email → validate the email attachment

• UiPath AI/ML BOT classifies Bill of Lading document into different groups depending on the format → train document classification

• UiPath AI/ML BOT extracts Bill of Lading details from the document → train data extraction using Machine Learning Extractor

• UiPath Robot validates the mandatory details & send email notification to vendor for missing information

• UiPath Robot validates the shipment details against the master data & create a shipment report

• UiPath Robot activates the workflow tool by sending the Bill of Lading details for approval if document date belongs to current month (October 2022) → decision making by the BOT (business rule)

• SME use the workflow tool created using UiPath Action Centre to approve/reject Bill of Lading details → human in the loop

• UiPath Robot enters the Bill of Lading details in OTC App (ERP) for the records approved by SME → data entry

• UiPath Robot displays the summary of approved/rejected Bill of Lading in a Dashboard App created using UiPath Apps
