Working on sharepoint Excel file with people using the Excel file

Hello

I have an automation that adds some data to Excel file and moves other data from sheet to sheet. The problem is that this is an online file so other people use it at the same time. And when Robot tries to move something I get the Excel pop up that xxx See my changes, See other changes, you know what I mean.

How Can I handle it so that Robot can work when people are on the file too?

You can try implementing the file locking mechanism.

  1. Select File > Info.
  2. Select the Protect Workbook box and choose Encrypt with Password.
  3. Enter a password in the Password box, and then select OK.
  4. Confirm the password in the Reenter Password box, and then select OK.
