When backing up the Orchestrator DB Maintenance Plans folder does not exist

Hello,

I am trying to back up the Orch BD following the steps here: Orchestrator Backup and Restore
However, the folder “Maintenance Plans” is not created. Why? What can I do?

I also checked on the web that I may be caused since I have no admin rights. However, I checked in the User Mapping window and I have DB Owner rights.

You may have DB Owner rights to your Orchestrator DB but

To create or manage maintenance plans, you must be a member of the sysadmin in fixed server role. Object Explorer only displays the Maintenance Plans node for users who are members of the sysadmin fixed server role.

Does it mean I can not back up the Data Base if my DB Owner user is not a member of the sysadmin fixed server role?

Yes of cause ,
Hope this will be a job role of admins of your side , so they might not allow the functionality as requested.

So kindly ask them to do it then thats it.

hi Hope you are not the one who manage the DB servers in your organization right ,
the person who grant you the right dosen’t gave you such a permission as a member of sysadmin

If you need to backup , you can ask them do and arrange backup plans
