What is UiPath cloud robot security?

I see that on studio web I can run robots that operate in the cloud, meaning I don’t have to run them on my own machine, but rather they run on a machine located on a UiPath server. Is this correct? What is this technique called so I can refer to it accurately when making inquiries?

What security does UiPath offer for these cloud machines? What happens if I open a page from my bank and it remains open?

It’s called UiPath Cloud Robots. We got two options, Serverless and VM.

Refer this FAQ documentation for more information.

++Clarification on this

No one can access the serverless machines. If you use VM that’s also access controlled by you like we manage our physical systems.

Still you can get more clarification from UiPath support team regarding security measures.

  1. Its not mandate if you want you can run on your own machines also..
  2. basically a light weight machine is provided by UiPath for us to run our processes when it is serverless which cna run only background processes or other service is their robot VM which is hosted on microsoft hyper vison
  3. in either cases all the security measures are similar to any other microsoft VM and you have capability to have a vpn as well so as no other people can access it
  4. these are basically amintained by UiPath instead of us maintaining it

you can check here about both

cheers
