Use Insights with a custom application DB on SQL Server

Hi all,
I have a customer that wants to use Insights to create a business dashboard, using process data. My idea is to create in SQL Server, a custom DB, with one tables for each process.
Can I create custom diagrams using these data?
In other words, can I select another data source and create customized dashboards?
