UIPath Test Suite for our test automation project

Hello everyone. We would like to use UiPath Test Suite for our test automation project(Desktop, Web, API ect…). Do we also need Unattended Robots? UiPath test suite has the automation Ops components?

To effectively utilize UiPath Test Suite in test automation projects, you’ll need
a UiPath Orchestrator instance,
a Test Manager license, and
potentially a Tester - Named User license

Additionally, familiarity with UiPath Studio and its automation framework is beneficial.

Automation ops is a separate feature so will need to get additionally.

Do you need Unattended Robots for UiPath Test Suite?

No, you do not need Unattended Robots for running test cases in UiPath Test Suite.

UiPath Test Robots are separate from Unattended Robots. When you use the Test Manager, Orchestrator, and Test Robots, you can run automated tests (Desktop, Web, API, etc.) without requiring an Unattended Robot license. UiPath provides a specific license type called Test Robot license, optimized for test execution (parallelism, faster feedback loops, etc.). These Test Robots are used in conjunction with Test Sets in Orchestrator and can be triggered via CI/CD pipelines or manually.

Does UiPath Test Suite include Automation Ops components?

UiPath Test Suite and Automation Ops are separate offerings in the UiPath ecosystem.

UiPath Test Suite is for test automation, including:

  1. Building and executing automated tests (desktop, web, API, mobile)
  2. Integration with Test Manager, Orchestrator, and CI/CD

UiPath Automation Ops is part of UiPath Automation Cloud, focusing on:
