UiPath Studio 2019

I already have UiPath version 2018.1.3 installed on my computer. I downloaded the new version of UiPath Studio 2019. When I click the play button UiPath 2019 it displays the error below message.

How can I resolve this error in the UiPath Robot Service?

System.Exception: Could not connect to UiPath Robot Service. Make sure the service is started!

There are a few historical posts out there that cover this topic. Please have a read over them and see if they are of any assistance. If not please let us know what you’ve tried and will try to help you out!

Hi @rstaylor62 I would double check what the exception is indicating and check that your UiPath Robot Service is actually running. I suspect it is in a stopped state. If it is, the UiPath Robot tray icon will show with a red background and white “Ui” lettering and the Status message will be “Error connecting to Robot Service” with the Orchestrator Configuration section of the Robot settings will be in a disabled state. How to update studio

The error message indicates what you need to check. It sounds like you installed UiPath using the two different installer packages (MSI and EXE). You can tell as UiPath Studio is found in two locations depending on the installation package you initially used.
