UiPath OCR questions

Hi all,

a simple question.

within the process I have to extract data from pdfs using “Read pdf with OCR”

using uipath’s ocr engine:

  1. has an additional cost, or is it free?
  2. has a limitation on the number of pages, e.g. characters it can read?

Hi,

Some engines are free: Omnipage,Microsoft,Tesseract
I’ve never heard about page limit in this activity. You can extract all pages or define page range

in this case I have an enterprise licence but not the document understanding licence…

Could you Check the below Documentation :

As Highlighted they do mention it’s free but again not quite sure if it’s free along with the Document Understanding License.

To further Check maybe you could Install the Package as mentioned and check if you are able to use UiPath Document OCR Activity without Endpoints and API key.
