UI Explorer validating fine and then not recognising element

Weird problem this in that for a while now I’ve been having to do things in this order:

  1. select click activity
  2. select element to capture, < careful to ensure I give the appropiate wild cards if necessary
  3. click Validate and green icon comes up
  4. close UI Explorer
  5. Go back into UI Explorer and it shows the red box - “not validated”
  6. Validate it again and away I go

But now I’m having an issue where no matter what I do, elements won’t remain validated and these are not elements on a bespoke system, but rather a website.

On my most recent one this is what I see when I’m capturing:

Then when I click out and go back into it I’m greeted with this:

I think it’s because it’s adding that particular url (when in actual fact the url i see in chrome is different.
How can I stop it amending the info in UI Explorer / or any other ideas?

Tried manually adding in the url and it still points to the wrong one! argh!

the actual url showing on screen btw is: “https://corp.sts.ford.com…”

Managed to solve, it’s because in my Open Browser activity, I hadn’t specified which Browser to use
