Troubleshooting Missing Activity In Activities Panel

Why can not a particular activity be found in the activities panel?

Possible Solutions:

One possible reason for this issue is the project setting for Modern Design Experience. Both Classic and Modern activities can be used in a project, but to see both, it may be required to enable the Classic or Modern activities depending on if the developer has enabled or disabled the Modern Design experience.

For initial troubleshooting for find a missing activity in the activities panel, try the following recommendations:

Method 1: If Modern Design Experience is enabled for the project, try to enable Show Classic Activities in order to find Classic Activities in the Activity Panel. As described in the document that is linked above, after clicking the filter icon in the activities panel and making sure "Show Classic" is enabled, attempt to search for the missing activity again.

1. By Default the Modern Activities can be found in the Activities Panel, but Classic Activities will not be visible:

2. If Classic Activities are needed in the project while the Modern Design Experience is enabled:

Method 2: If Modern Design Experience has been disabled for the project, the Classic Activities will show by default, and instead, the Modern Activities will be disabled by default. If Modern Activities are needed in the project and the Modern Design Experience is disabled, try enabling "Show Modern" in the filter of the activities panel.

One other possible cause for missing activities is due to an incorrect package version. If an activity cannot be found, make sure to check the version of the dependencies in use. Sometimes, activities are removed or added to newer package versions of a dependency. (Make sure to save a backup copy of the project, prior to upgrading or downgrading dependencies.)

After following the instruction above if activities still seem to be missing in the Activities Panel, share the following information with the UiPath Product Support team:

• Studio Version
• A Screenshot of the project's dependencies OR if possible, share the project files in a zipped folder (project.json, xamls, etc)
• The name of the activity that seems to be missing
• When attempting to search for the activity, share a screenshot of the results in the Activities panel
• A screenshot of the project's configuration for Modern Design Experience
• A screenshot of the filter settings in the Activity Panel.
