Set limitations on API token?

Hey Forum :slight_smile:

Is it possible to specify what can be done with a token in Orchestrator?
Im in the middle of cooperating with another company that would benefit from having access to using post request to my orchestrator, but i don’t want their access to be ‘unlimited’ (e.g. deleting items).

Is it possible for me to give them the 24 hour OAuth token, but with limitations to only post requests with a certain folder ID?

This can be nearly possible & depends on the Platform version.

Kindly let us know your platform type - Cloud or OnPrem ?

Also the platform version ?

This will help us understand better and suggest a good solution.

I’m using cloud orchestrator.

It’s version 22.4.1

Okay perfect.

Then you can create an External App from the Admin panel for which you can only assign particular scope permission & provide that key to other user.

The key will work only until you have it active, once you remove it that stops working.
