As I already reported before, the search functionality is not feasible. Look at the attached pictures:
Hi @pere,
Search on the activities , variable and arguments. You are trying to search for a string (not variable /argument).
Yeah @AMAN_GUPTA, but then… what should I do? Any programming language supports searching text strings, no matter if it’s a variable, a literal or whatever. Is it really impossible to make Studio search for this things? What I stated on the title is that the search functionality is not reliable. Apart from not having a proper “Search” dialog with some fine-grained functionality. Because this “Search” (everywhere, I suppose) is not specifying where and what it’s gonna search for.
Another example:
I’m trying to find references of a certain variable. I right click on it, select “Find references”, Studio does nothing. It’s maybe because of the fact the the only place being used there is already visible?
Anyway,
I press ctrl+f and then it shows a bunch of occurrences.
We had some recent fixes for this in both 23.10.6 and 24.2. Can you please share the exact version you are using? Please try to update to the latest version and let us know if it works.
My version is Studio 2023.10.4, Enterprise License, User-mode Installation.
As you previously explained, and as I alredy replied several times, as I’m on an Enterprise license, I should be getting updates automatically, and I don’t get access to preview verisons. And I wonder why, being on the 6th of May, I haven’t received any update since October.
