i have tried but its not working

Its just because the recipient dont have access to the path of file you have attached ! To make it simple, if you have given as follow “<img src=“C:\UserName\Desktop\imagename.jpg””> , the path should exists in recipient’s machine.

Suggestion:
Place the file in shared path where both the sender and recipient have access.

In your email body use <img src="cid:“ImageFile.jpg”/>
