Save Image - Object reference not set to instance of object

We are using UI automation , where we are getting Time out exception & we are taking screenshot to understand the exception. But it failing even in Save image of screenshot & throwing object reference not set error.
This is happening only when we run the bot in unattended mode in a VM . We tried to check whats happening inside VM by running the workflow after manually logging into VM but issue is not there when we login manually.

Any reason why this issue occurring that too not consistently.

  1. Is the robot installed in service mode?
  2. Is the machine signed out properly before the bot start?
  3. When you run attended are you able to save a acreenshot you can create a system exception by closing any window just to check if screenshot is being taken properly or not
