Description
In practice, careful adaptation of existing RPA code is regularly required - be it through bug reports, change requests or adaptation to new software versions. Such refactoring offers a valuable opportunity to optimize the code and make it more maintainable, testable and robust in order to save time and costs for future adaptations.
In our next chapter event “RPA Refactoring in Focus: Sustainable Code Quality for the Future”, we, Christian Prior-Mamulyan and Fotios Karamitsos, will provide practical insights into how existing code can be specifically refined in UiPath Studio. In addition to the development of new workflows, we will look at the use of unit tests, the targeted use of ChatGPT for support and the benefits of static code analysis.
As a developer, you will learn how even complex code can be refactored step by step and how a well thought-out choice of input and output arguments leads to sustainably better code. From the perspective of a lead developer, we show how the Workflow Analyzer is used to evaluate and measure code improvements, how refactoring can achieve a noticeably measurable effect and what insights a practical use case can provide.
